Tânia Salgado Pimenta
Researcher at Casa de Oswaldo Cruz / Oswaldo Cruz Foundation and professor at the Post-Graduate Program in History of Science and Health at Fiocruz. Graduated in History from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1994), Master's (1997) and Doctorate (2003) in History from the State University of Campinas. In 2001 he was on a sandwich scholarship period at Emory University, Atlanta, USA. She is the author of several articles, chapters, books and organizer of collections on slavery, disease and assistance in colonial and post-colonial Brazil. His areas of research and teaching are health and slavery; hospitals and health care; healing arts and crafts; homeopathy; and relationship between therapists and patients
